I remember trying to stretch out my “haul” so that I finished the last of the candy while watching the Eaton’s Santa Claus parade on TV.
Imagine what it was like for people in the Paleolithic when the elk or whatever migrated. You had a day or two to get your elk meat supply for months (which you would eat fresh, dried, or smoked). That’s what Halloween is like for kids.
