I watched a documentary about the rise and fall of Hitler’s Nazi Germany and the parallels between that and Trump’s campaign are very similar indeed, that alone should alarm people!
So, lets assess. We’ve all seen a loved one in Biden’s condition. The glide path from there is one way, sometimes precipitously. His stubbornness reminds me of your dad refusing to let you take his car keys. The only people who can salvage the legacy of his historically good first term are his delegates. They have the option of not nominating him on the first ballot. It would take courage, not a common trait among politicians.
If he’s nominated, we need to plan now for how to navigate a Trump term controlled by operatives who are not incompetent.
