When I got my first hula hoop I was Francesca’s age. It was so much fun. Now I’m Grandma’s age and if I were to try that I’d be sure to throw something out.

When I was in 2nd grade, I won a box of Tootsie Pops for keeping the hoop going the longest. When I taught 2nd grade, I couldn’t even get it to start going.

Plus you might throw your back out.

The same applies for men over 50 going shirtless: you end up startling the neighbors and confusing the babies.

I saw some hula hoops in a store yesterday. I successfully resisted the urge to go and try one.

i can hear her grandma say…“now run outside and go play”…“i will watch from the window”….

That would be a hip replacement waitin’ to happen.
