I keep a dish drainer on the counter for hand washing pans. Husband always runs a little cold water on his coffee cup and puts it in the drainer. Ewww.
The truck driver delivered the new dishwasher my wife’s mom bought us. I put it in and drove to Menards to pick up the drain hose attachments. On the way back the snow storm was so bad, I missed the street to turn on to my house. I turned on the next street was was driving sideways (drifting) in the snow and wind, and my 10 year old son was yelling at me to stop drifting. I told him the wind was trying to blow me off the road. We got home and after assembling the dishwasher, I NEVER loaded it or unloaded it. I don’t take kindly to dying for a dishwasher.
I wonder if the truck driver finished his deliveries and got home.
This is my wife and me except that she’s the one who just puts everything in the sink and I have to move it to the dishwasher. My complaining for 45 years that it takes no more energy to put them in the dishwasher to the left than the sink to the right has had zero effect.

Never mind, just put it back in the cupboard so he can use it next time.

It can only be done when there are clean dishes in it.

Or putting a cat food can in the trash instead of leaving it open on the counter with the spoon you used?

I load the dishwasher, my wife unloads it. This system has worked well for us for MANY years.

My family puts their dirty dishes in the sink, then run a little water on them, then walks away. What do they think that little bit of water does???
