Pill in a treat – I never did get that to work. What works is – open mouth – shove pill down throat – close mouth – we do that with our animals as they won’t eat a pill. We prefer to get the medicine in shot form as it’s the easiest. Liquid medicine that you put in a syringe and squirt into their throat is not fun either – our cat will spit it back up unless we hold her mouth shut until she swallows…

I crush the pills and put them in the dogs food.
