Alex: Why did I offer to play the jukebox? What if I choose a song he thinks is lame? I could blow the whole thing! Toggle: Sorry...I...I talk so slowly. Annoying. Alex: Hey, I speak fast enough for both of us! That's annoying! Toggle: I...used to be...motormouth, too. But no more...God's punishing me...for wearing ear buds on patrol...didn't hear warning...idiot! Alex: I don't believe it - people warn me about stuff all the time! But do I listen? Nooo! Toggle: I still have...piece of iPod lodged in my brain! Alex: Wow...really? Toggle: Yup...I...I...think it might be memory chip... Alex: Why? Toggle: I have 8,000 tunes...can't get out of my head! Alex: Hey, me, too! I have...oh...it's a joke! A good one, too! Ha!

This is wonderful. They’re both a bit shy and uncertain, but they’re finding out that they have a lot in common.

If you can’t laugh at yourself, you can’t laugh at anyone. Right, Toggle.

your son is gonna be just fine Mrs. Toggle. I like the way this is turning out. too bad people weren’t quite so understanding after Viet Nam.

Different people have different post-war stories. When I got home from the war in November, 1970, the cab driver refused to take any money for the ride from the airport to my wife’s apartment!

Really outstanding, Garry. Toggle may speak slow but the mind’s sharp. C’mon Alex, keep up girl. 8D

Johnny Cash is always a good bet. The Sam Cooke would be a bit too somber for the occasion. Wuz Two, I admire your uncompromising honesty even though I opposed the war 100%. The anti-war folks hurt their moral credibility by dissing vets.
