An idle threat at that. And Jack is too kind to indulge his idleness for so long.

My question is why does he have a tab? Everyone in that town knows he is a deadbeat.

In this age, I wonder if there’s still a pub or a bar that actually runs a tab for regulars … Most often, I just give them a card, and they close it out when I leave …
