It could be absorbed upwards, from the seated end……and appears to be working well already.
I asked Fluffy to test some catnip for me. I was making toys and this stuff had been around a while. She stuck her face in the baggie and came up absolutely coated with the stuff. Judging from her huge smile, it was good. Very good! :)

we’ve tried explaining to the kitties that rolling around on the catmint is not good for it. nor is chewing on it. or sleeping blissfully on it… ☺
