The TV gets a bad rap, the real idiots are ones that produce the programming. And it does say for the people that view that programming. But there’s plenty of good programs.
I always thought the idiot part of “idiot box” referred to the ones watching it. Now days it is the “coward box” because of the ones that are in charge are not the upper management like is was when I was growing up. Now they are middle management due to the company is no longer independent and thus the middle managers will any decision that might cost them their jobs. As a result we get remakes an serials that have already been done.
