Elly: Hi, Anne! How's it going? Anne: OK, I guess. Steve's away again, Richard's got a cold, my drier's broken and I'm out of diapers. Elly: I think you need a break. Bring the kids and come to my place! A change is as good as a rest! Anne: Yeah? Who gets a rest?!!

That was nice and sweet thoughful of Elly to invite Annie and her kids to Elly’s home for nice convenience.

Yep. The sign of a true friend.

It’s interesting to see her (Elly’S) friends, though with some changes. I have the early books, almost all (25+) and Lawrence was originally drawn white and the son of the ex, not Hispanic. There are a few other things Lynn seemed to change- Elizabeth’s high school teacher once said she could never walk and her brothers took advantage, but elsewhere it was a motorcycle accident. I guess in 30 years you get better ideas!

To Kattbailey, Huh? What?

Kaitbaily - It still makes sense. Sharon Edwards had her accident in high school. That was still plenty of time for brothers to tease her and put things on a higher shelf.
