That mouse must be more like a kangaroo.

There ya go! That’ll scare the mouse away. Or it’ll drink it and become some kind of uber mouse

Looks like you need to get another cat Jon. A “normal” cat that will kill mice.

saturntv said That mouse must be more like a kangaroo.

I am reminded of a great TV show … The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show, where Sylvester is trying to teach his boy how to hunt mice. One runs into the case of a Kangaroo and then hilarity ensues …

Many years ago, Garfield said, “show me a cat who is a good mouser, and I’ll show you a cat with bad breath.” That’s why he prefers birds to mice!

@ Allan - I was thinking of it when I posted the comment. I’ve never seen it, but it came up in a conversation and sounded hilarious.

By Jon’s reaction in panel 2, it looks like that mouse tried playing Garfield’s tuba (from a previous strip).

At the start of “Garfield” in 1978, the title character said to “show [him] a good mouser, and [he’ll] show [us] a cat with bad breath.” That could explain why Garfield doesn’t do mice.
