Heart: So, Mr. Angelini had to go into the Army? Was there a war on? Mrs. Angelini: Yes, in 1951, the United States was in a war with North Korea..The whole family was scared about Mr. Angelini fighting in the Korean war. His mother was so upset she couldn't come to 30th Street Station to see him off to basic training. Thankfully, his Uncle Tony drove us. Heart: The Korean War. I never heard of the Korean War. Mrs. Angelini: Yeah, I'm not surprised. They often call it the "Forgotten War." "But I'll tell you this, I'll never forget it!"

I learned about the Korean War from M*A*S*H. It was NEVER mentioned in any textbook.
