What is he trying to tell you? Run down the list of things he might ask for. Or about, I guess….
If he was really insistent he would be in front of the TV, not beside it.

I don’t recall my doggie staring at me, but I did get nosed a lot while I was sleeping… ☺

He trying to lay a guilt trip on you.
He’s trying to tell you. “I need to go potty!” My son’s dog does that to me.
When Dogs stare at you… check their water bowl. Maybe they need to go out…. OR…. Maybe they are staring at you because they love you.
