Murder mystery coming up?

Is Dan teasing us as to what Rip’s next adventure will be? So far it sounds more like a “whodunnit” than a “What is Rip getting to now” story.

All around the pine trees the son chased daddy weasel. The son swung the ax. Chop goes the weasel.
