actually, it strikes me now how much nowadays we attach being smart with being quick; in old times it wasn’t like that at all indeed. Being smart doesn’t mean being fast or anything, but more of … “smart” !

You can , trust me, Tregg! Most of the “IQ” smart (and I mean really, REALLY smart) people I got to know can be completely peabrained and doing infuriatingly s…id things in everyday life even when they are not busy with anything else. (And I’m not even talking of “special needs” geniuses. here)

Why’s she so dang impatient? Gotta buy her third daily Frappuccino before dinnertime? Geez. Is some part of her on fire? Whether you saunter or race through your life, you’ll still lose it all one day. How can you appreciate anything if you are always in a hurry? She should worry about FOMO b/c she is missing out on much.

A long time ago I was working in the ICU and a brain surgeon asked to borrow my pocket calculator. He asked, " How do I turn this thing on?"

When you’re a rocket scientist, every tiny detail matters – a lot! So of course you count slowly, if not several times over.
