My sister and I would play baseball with a tennis racket and ball. Who ever was up first always won because you could never catch the ball before the runner ran all the bases!
Reminds me of when we kids played baseball…homeplate was a manhole cover, first base was mailbox, second base was whatever we could find to use and third was a poor shrub that got mutilated by us diving into it!
I once tried this in Phys Ed, citing this strip as proof that there was no rule that says you have to stay on the baseline. :-) The teacher made me sit in the dugout for the rest of the game :-(
Oh and mrprongs, Calvinball was invented when Calvin signed up for the school team, and (to make the long story short) didn’t notice the change of innings.

Yeah why isn’t pros like this. Normal baseball i actually find boring to watch. I like lacrosse in the spring.
