But Halloween is over; Clayton will have to wait until next year for his “pre-holiday” candy. And Katy will lord it over him the she got a pre-Christmas" present—unless it’s socks and/or undies!

You don’t have give in to them, the burden of proof is on them, and you ate that already.

Adam, you need to be the parent. Parents have things that the kids don’t all the time. You shouldn’t give in to them like that.

Maybe, Adam should “grow a pair,” where his kids are concerned, and tell them he wanted turkey, so HE bought turkey. If they want those other things, go out, and buy them, themselves, and they can have them, but being the alleged parent, he is under no obligation to kowtow to them.
