We have a German ,Short Legged, Flusher also known as a Dachshund ;-)

Poor pup doesn’t get to go tolling on the Upper West Side.

There has got to be a park with ducks somewhere on the upper west side.

I had a friend who trained and showed chows. We’d go walking with them and people would ask what they were, and he’d always reply, “Czechoslovakian Cheese Hounds”. I’d tell them that he was lying and they were really chows. Everyone always looked at me like I was the one lying.

He looks like a rescue but he paid hundreds to buy him with that pedigree.

She likes chasing geese around when she is unleashed.

Well, I don’t know what her problem is — there’s often ducks and geese in the Hudson off Riverside Park around 65th-70th St.

Live and learn. I’d never heard of a hunting dog with a talent for somehow luring ducks. Does it work for geese, too? Or are they less easily gulled (you should pardon the expression) than ducks?

Not that many Nova Scotia duck tollings to retrieve anywhere in New York.
