Trying to checkout at one of these machines of horror. The rebar had no price stickers so an associate had to call someone. Then I tried using a gift card and the machine let out a snide laff and said: “No way, Jose!” Another associate had to make it submit to the card but it didn’t go down easy. Only took about 30 minutes to check out with this convenient device. Someday, you will never make it out of the store.
One odd quirk I encountered was if you accessed your rewards card via your PH#, the self-checkout software froze up, took about 3 months to solve for that.

Most stores require cashiers to scan 27+ items per minute.
