I loved engineering. The pay is very good and you can do so many different things with it: I created complex mathematical simulations, changed automotive engine calibrations, designed prototype parts for our model shop to make, and made prototype parts. I drove test profiles in vehicle, set-up tests in environmental chambers, presented at large industry conferences, and so much more. It’s the perfect job for someone who wants to try some of this, and some of that.

Nothing wrong with being an engineer. The pay isn’t great and when you are over 50, you are doomed.
