    It’s to be remembered that this comic was first published just as the Civil Rights Movement was active, and “We Shall Not Be Moved” was a famous song they used in their protests. This was about a week after RFK’s speech on May 6, 1961 which marked the Kennedy administration’s first endorsement of the Civil Rights Movement.
