Male bonding is great. My brother-in-law does that same thing with his sons. I can tell is affectionate.
Agreed, its a cartoon! a funny one. The cartoonist is exaggerating domestic life but sounds like they are pushing some personal buttons!
THE Universal parenting experience. I do it to my kids, with the same result, including the scolding. Of course, if my wife does it, it is incredibly funny - and NOBODY dare scold her!
