Andy is coaching a young player. The keen young lad tells Andy he has football in his blood since his father played for the local league.Andy tells him he must have poor circulation as it hasnât reached his feet!
I feel like Andy. I once worked for a company long ago in the 1980âs. I spent about 6 hours a day in my favorite bar. Made over 3 grand a month. Bar was a goldmine for me and I got to play poker, tonk, spades, pool, darts and drink beer back then. It was a fine job. Lined up Masonry jobs for our company. Like a nut I moved to Florida when My youngest son was born. Year later I moved back to NC closer to my mother who had some medical problems. Dad lived about 15 miles away and I went back to Masonry (Brick.block, stone, concrete) and working with NC State, Dad laid brick till he was about 83. Died at 89. Mom taught school 39 years. Died at 89. Wife passed in Mar of 2023. Time is one thing Iâve got. Have a rest home ministry. 5 days a week.

In the last panel, Capp has the same mouth expression of embarrassment that was a staple from the âCathyâ strip.

I mean, arenât these amateur clubs really just excuses to hit the pub afterwards? Not that thatâs a BAD thing.
