I have been suffering a pinched nerve in my neck for the last 6 months. Muscle relaxants, both prescription and beer or wine don’t seem to help. I make sure my pillow is supportive and such. And then at 2:00 AM while comfortably asleep, one of the cats will find her way to my neck and settle in. And in the morning I will awaken with aches and pains and the cat asleep at the lower end of the bed.
I’m skeptical about body parts falling off without warning (with the exception of my hair, which has been gradually making its escape since I was in my early twenties). But as for the small aches and pains that are there one day and gone the next, definitely a “been there, still doing that” situation.

I believe sometimes if I were an automobile, I would have to have my ball joints replaced.
