Not these days. Most couple pay for the majority with both sets of parents contributing. A wedding can cost mega bucks!
stpatme that’s not fair. That goes back to the sexist notion that you’re marrying “off” a daughter and the guy’s doing you a favor by marrying her and taking her off your hands. No one set of parents should have to pay for everything.
