The drugs would explain the goofy smiles. And I have always wondered why they picked “ex” druggies for Mr. Conductor. First George Carlin then Ringo Starr.
Alec Baldwin plays the Conductor in the big screen movie “Thomas and the Magic Railroad”. He uses ‘magic gold dust’ (AKA-Sparkle) to go between RL and Sodor.
I wonder what the ‘Sparkle” really is? Clovis’ explanation seems to work here.
P.S.- I have 3 kids, that’s how I know this. I’m not some weird closet Thomas fanatic.
