Brown lances, aquamarine chainmail and magenta skin. Not amused. Leave them uncoloured.

I sure hope he takes off his ring and watch before he conducts the search.

Way too much on their skins, Pink or magenta? The color for the skin should be tan or light beige? Hummm, the guards should search on that peasant while he is naked.

I do hope that it is the colorist in the ropes. S/he should be flogged. Cute comic, ruined by colorization…

It appears that individual colorists DO have some lee way with the colors on various boards.

For example, the CREATORS version of this cartoon uses a darker blue

CREATORS Comics - includes Wizard of Id http://www.creators.com/today-comics.html

But Yahoo Comics uses the sort of washed out green YAHOO Comics - Wizard of Id http://news.yahoo.com/comics/wizardofid;ylt=AnTWhJoMDYPYcfjI6AXWmB4Kb4F

WASHINGTON POST comics chose bright blue again WASHINGTON POST Comics - Wizard of Id http://comics.washingtonpost.com/11comicswizard-of-id.html

Personally, I like the bright blue better - I think it makes everything pop out. Local newspapers, of course, published Wizard of Id still in black and white.
