Hottentots might have been an improvement.

Some note indeed! (Albeit, a sour one…)

Ah, yes; literature of some note: Kitty Kelly’s lurid “biography” of Frank Sinatra. …And the band played on, and on, and on.

Wow. I just Wikipedia’d her and it turns out Kitty Kelly was a sorority house kleptomaniac in college.

Rosebud is forlorn that she didn’t get picked for the band so she could live the lurid life of Sinatra…on the bright side, she apparently got those spandex removed.

@gatocat This strip is just a muse on the generation divide in what was then modern music. on a semi-unrelated note my fathers a huge Sinatra fan and allways seemed to have him or Frank Zappa on the record player. To this day when I find a girl I’m smitten with I love to play “Under My Skin”. Unfortuneatly the current one’s allready married so Sloan’s “Other Man” is more apropriate. I know, I know, I’m a scumbag but damn she’s fun to be around. Sorry for the T.M.I.

I would LOVE to be in that band just to make some melodic noise… maybe on the armpit fart. Add some melodic percussion…
