I’ve always thought “Why is Santa balking?” to be one of the most moving lines in this comic’s entire run. Sure, in typical Breathed fashion, it’s a question wrapped in a joke wrapped in a metaphor wrapped in a taco, but underneath all that is a sad kid who just wishes his parents would get back together.
