Huey: This is disgusting! Oh goodness, the depravity of it all. Granddad: Boy?! You on the computer? What are you looking at? Huey: I've seen some disturbing things on the net, but this is just inhumane! So devoid of decency...so lacking in moral fiber! Granddad: What are you lookin' at? You better not be lookin' at no filth-flarn-filth on that computer. You know the rules...no funky stuff on the computer!! Huey: I'm reading up on some of Bush's economic and enviroonmental policies...but I'm not sure I'm old enough to handle it. Granddad: What? You made me get off the sofa for that? Huey: Nobody cares about protecting kids from the stuff that's really dangerous...

Well, yeah. But it was obvious back then, and even more obvious when a black guy purloined more than 30,000 votes in Cuyahoga County in 2004. Sometimes I wonder whether Rovians aren’t just nihilists that screw things up because they find it easy to fool a large minority all the time, and steal the rest of the votes they need.
