No, if you took it off the rack, it would no longer be there, whereas if you downloaded it, it would still be there, because when you download something, a copy is being made of the original.
And there is a difference between copying music and copying music for profit, but thanks to the Kopyright Koalition Kult, we have no say.
If downloading music is killing the industry, then so were audio cassettes.
