Granddad: Shush, boy! I'm trying to hear my stories. I said no guns. Riley: You do realize you're violating my constitutionally protected second amendment right to bear arms, don't you? Granddad: You 'bout to see me violate some child abuse laws too if you don't hush!!

Get a sword. Or even just a big stick. The Second Amendment doesn’t specify firearms.

Indeed they are, provided they are under the supervision of a responsible adult, and are taught all the safety rules. Pellet guns are a good start and then the real sutff.
