carmy, Joy As soon as I click inside the box to type a comment it turns green and stays that way until I post the comment! Our ‘puter man updated our work ‘puters yesterday to IE 8. Maybe that did it! No biggie, just curious!

Dry - Check your Internet Options, General Tab, and click the Colors button in the lower left. That might be the cause.

Dry when you updated to IE8 it did that to the box. mine is like that also. the internet is faster now also, that is one of the perks of it. idk how or why, but heck im not complaing. lol faster is better.

JFri, I started using Mozilla Fox a few weeks ago (maybe it’s been a month) and I’ve been real happy with - don’t miss Microsoft at all. I’m thinking of trying their email program instead of Outlook Express. Has anyone tried that?

I’m back and ready to party. Went t down, bought a new nikon digital slr. I’ll take pictures at the party tonight. I have a mac and the background has always been green as soon as I click on it. When I post comment the background goes back to white, but my comment stays green for me to pick it out from the others.

Akenta i am a cry baby. they are so important to me. its so hard. i am not going to be okay. i am planing a party sat and inviting them all. that is that. i will stay in touch with them by email, facebook, myspace, waht ever i have to do. i dont want to foget them ever. they mean the world to me. they are the family i was not lucky enough to have. same with you guys.

My wife and I have taken our lab to nursing homes. It is amazing how just the sight of a pet can cheer up a person’s day. There is a cat a nursing home here in town that seems to sense a person’s last days and makes a point of going and lying on the bed of the person and stays with them until they pass. I think that’s cool, but if I were in the home I think I’d be a bit nervous if it suddenly started spending and inordinate amount of time hanging around me. LOL What kind of dog do you have margueritem?

Thanks Akenta. doctortoon’s just off doing his thing. No need to worry about him. He just has his priorities and keeps them straight. If you have a new love in your life, we are like an afterthought. Heck, I’ve been with my lady for 5 years and she can get me to do backflips through a carwash naked at 2 AM. And, I will be totally enraptured as I obey her command. Of course, if she has yard work, or garage cleaning on her agenda, suddenly she drops off my radar.

I cried when Farley died. I cried when Opus slept in the Beatrix Potter type finale. I cried when Lynn Johnston ended her strip. Let’s just face it I am an emotional dweeb.

I don’t know about emotional dweebs. Crying too often (as long as it’s not for too long) always seemed rather more healthy than not crying often enough.

Those who cannot cry, like those who have no sense of humor, and so on, are the real emotional dweebs.

cleo I never read Opus that much until the last couple weeks. Yes that made me sad also. Part of the reason, Opus was so cute and that book ‘Goodnight Moon” was my sons favorite book when they were little. Opus was left in a GOOD place! Read it to them every night! I have most of Margaret Wise Browns’ books. She was great! Her storybooks were WONDERFUL!

I have always been emotional, wearing my heart on my sleeve. I too think it is a good thing. So many men feel they can’t express emotion. Why not? I don’t have a problem with being emotional, even in a setting with a group of people. It is honest.

Okay, I’m all caught up with you all now. Dry, I love Goodnight Moon and Runaway Bunny. Guys, I agree, it good for you to show your emotions, that’s why we have them. JFri and Akenta, I like Firefox too. I have IE also but, I do prefer Firefox.

On the other hand, I also know an extrovert and introvert who have to work together. The extrovert is rather manipulative, so the introvert drives her crazy, because the introvert can read her like a book, but it doesn’t work the other way around!

To be perfectly honest here, I am not joking. I always wear as few clothes as possible. I am like Tarzan, without the physique. I buy all of my clothes so that they are first of all, comfortable. But…I also have to admit, I like to be stylish.

carmy do you have “A pussycat’s Christmas” by Margaret Wise Brown? The illustrations in that are just BEAUTIFUL! They look so real! And ironically, many years after buying that book, we have a kitty named Bella, who looks just like the cat in the story! I thought I had all her books, but apparently they, and I think I read this somewhere, they found some of her unpublished works after she died, and put them to print. Don’t ask me why, but I have to get them! For future grandkids maybe? Her books were the best books for kids!

Dry, I’m not familiar with “Martha’s Talking” either. We do have some “Franklin” books. We have so many books it’s crazy. My 3 older girls LOVE to read. My youngest can’t read yet.
