I sense tension from the Winkster. Dusty, I think that it is time to make dust. Run as fast as those little poodle legs will allow you.

It is a wasteland around here. Okay, for you morning folk I have three choices.

Cantaloupe, watermelon, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and bananas with a topping of organic plain yogurt and homemade granola.

Stacks of blueberry pancakes or blueberry Belgian waffles with hempler bacon and fried eggs, topped with maple syrup, chokecherry syrup or saskatoon berry syrup.

Eggs Benedict with Hempler’s ham and served on homemade English muffins or crumpets.

I have nuclear coffee, Belgian hot chocolate, Tea and Cranberry, Apple or OJ

I’ll have option #2, Cleo. Goodmorning, bigg. I’ll have some of your banana cream muffins, they sound scrumptious!

Good afternoon/evening tribe! I’m just now getting around to gocomics. My oldest son has a major toothache, so wanted me to take him to the dentist.

I figured that was the reason for the shorter version. I’ve never had a root canal but from what I’ve heard I don’t think I want one.

I’m off to football practice with my kid again. See ya’all this evenin’.

I’ve had more root canals than I can keep track of. Getting my wisdom teeth removed was way worse than any root canals I had. The main problem is that it takes 2 or more visits, and the gold crown is usually only covered at 50%.

I agree, cleo! I’m glad there are people interested in being dentists, but for the life of me, I can’t really see why.

I have always had this phobia about dentists. My very first dentist never used any pain killer so I have been in fear of a visit ever since. One of my best friends just retired from dentistry. He is the nicest guy you’d ever want to meet. Did I go see him…no.

Hello Everyone! I was at the evil place all day. When I got there I finished reading my comics. After that, they FINALLY hooked me up. I had lunch and fell asleep. They changed my schedule. I don’t have to go back until late Wednesday afternoon, BUT I have the evil chemo pump on until then.

I know the 2nd dentist we had (when I was a child) was horrible. I take longer to get numb than the normal patient. (I don’t think I need a higher dose, just longer for it to take effect. Probably has to do with my “lack of blood circulation” according to my hubby.) That dentist would give me the shots to numb, but not wait long enough, and start working on me. Then when I complained about the pain, he’d give me more shots. Hurt while he was working on me, then I was numb for hours afterwards. I’ve ran into “Attilla the Hun” type hygenists, too. I went to a great dentist, and when he got a new hygenist who wasn’t gentle enough, I told him. She wasn’t working there the next time I came in. I would still be going to him, but he moved out of state, so I’ve had to switch. I’ll give a dentist’s office two or three visits, and if they aren’t considerate of my low pain threshhold, I change. Once I find one who is gentle, I’ll drive a ways rather than change.

Hi everyone. I’m BAAAAACK I managed to keep up with all my comics but didn’t have much time to post anything. We just took my son to the airport this morning. He had been here for the last two weeks but now he’s on his way back to Greece. I wish I’d had more warning when he was coming and I would have arranged to take my holidays to spend more time with him. But it was wonderful to see him again and so hard to watch him go.

Hi RRAmom and the rest of the Tribe. Not sure I’ll be on too much tonight (though I think it’s time to wake up doc) All these talk about dentists, is not my favorite thing. Though I really like my dentist and drive about 30-40 minutes to see her - I never look forward to it (also don’t like the doctor either - and I like her too). I wouldn’t classify them as phobias, since I don’t think it’s an irrational fear I have :-)

Carmy - I remember calling my BFF and getting her husband on the phone instead. He worked from home via computer while going through chemo. He wasn’t a complainer, but since we knew each other so well, he shared more with me about what he was going through because of the chemo, than with most people. His wife has had serious diabetes-related health issues for years, and so I spent many hours in the hospital with one or the other. She doesn’t have any family nearby, and his are either distant or dysfunctional, so for hospital purposes, I was immediate family.

RRAmom, that’s very nice of you to be there for your friends. I have found that the best people to complain to are my chemo nurses.

Welcome, Requin! Carmy - I’m sure the chemo nurses are the best ones to complain to, as if you tell them anything that isn’t expected, they can alert the doctor. And of course, they don’t have weak stomachs. serena - I’m sure you miss your son, but I’m sure he’s having an interesting experience. My sister has worked on learning several languages, and traveled a lot internationally. She has lived for a few months in several countries as well. It helps that she is very adventurous, especially with foods!

Carmy - My youngest checked “Finding Nemo” out of the library many, many times, so I do remember that scene! It is a pretty funny movie.
