    Good Morning, Everyone!

Here’s a repeat of yesterday’s closing comments from me for those who might’ve missed them (thanks, Ladywolf, for sending me off in response):

It’s a little late to say so, but thanks for everyone’s well wishes and comments today. It’s nice to see that I’m so generally well-received, even if I actually agree with Joe on some issues (and can get almost as cranky when my button’s pushed on them). :)

In all likelihood you won’t see me until sometime on Monday (late), as I’m traveling to Dallas with a friend, but if I can sneak in a comment, I will.

The teleporter delivering the ingredients and extras for CocoMocha will remain open, as usual. This Sabbath (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset) we are also providing the various varieties of Sabra liqueur as “spikes” if desired.

OK, I need an early breatfast, so if you can have my usual CocoMocha and hash browns ready, I’d be much obliged. Don’t overdo the starches otherwise, If you have turkey or beef (or even venison) sausage, I’ll take it.

(In real life I may go down to The 59 Diner this morning and have something proteinaceous - plus some hot chocolate, so that I have an excuse to bring along a packet of Starbucks VIA Columbian coffee to put in it.)

While I’m here, I’d like to put in a word for our Resident Knower of Things. (This might surprise you as I’m as quick to cross sabers with him on occasion as anyone.)

As some of you probably realize, I’ve been a keen student of personality type models, ultimately as based on Carl Jung’s ideas, but fully developed by a lot of other people. When I realized that our fellow poster thinks and acts like a “core” INTP (see here and here) - one who spends much time in his own Shadow, as it’s said - he became a lot easier for me to understand, and to forgive.

I’m just saying, it’s much more difficult for INTPs than it is for most people to relate socially to others even under the best of conditions. That part of their psyche is naturally the least developed and hardest to access, and so logical frameworks, the pulling together of many ideas and concepts in the objective world, and dwelling on memories are their preferred ways of trying to deal with people, in that order. And that’s exactly what our Resident Knower of Things does.

By contrast, the hardest things for me as an ENFP to do are to access my memories of the past and to focus in a proper way on the sensual relaities of the present. If I’m not careful I too can overreact in ways that not everyone appreciates. My very kind-heartedness (for the praise of which I thank you) can be a two-edged sword. I have the reputation in these parts as someone you don’t want to anger, ever. I’m afraid it’s well-earned.

LADYWOLF, looked down your delicious and humorous menu for something I could consume in my condition (mean, spiteful, everybody hates me, gonna hold my breath till I’m blue) At the end I found “Ice cream, any flavor, your request. I request a pint of every flavor made by Ben & Jerry’s, plus a half gallon of Maple Walnut covered in whipped cream. If that doesn’t brighten my mood at least it will give me an excuse to call in sick.

Morning TRIBE! I wonder if my shrink would prescribe a half gallon of cookies and cream, a can of Redi-Whip, and a hot bath?

Lonewolf I think wolves go with everything also, but I kinda like this look too…

Actually, everyone in my family (except my hubby) has a (stuffed) wolf. My hubby knows how much I like them so he brought one home for me and my oldest from a business trip. When the younger two were born, their grandma bought them each one so everyone has one. My hubby on the other hand has a white tiger I bought for him for our first Christmas when we were first dating.

Sojo - My hubby has had a beard since he could grow one, with the exception of a year or so. He took a job and asked if the beard would be a problem. The interviewer said no. So, he quit his other job, and then on the first day of the new job was told he had to shave it off. When he said that he was told his beard wouldn’t be a problem, the boss said that was right, because he wouldn’t have a beard. I’m surprised he stuck with that job as long as he did, from the way they treated him. But that was before I knew him.

Oh! Computer problems. I should have known.

That sounds even better than tossing the computer out the window and watch it splatter into a bazillion pieces from my second story home office that I wish was 30 stories up for this particular experience.

Well, it is not far enough down to toss my computer out the window. The house only has one story, and no cement for that satisfying crashing effect. Yes, a chainsaw. Lot’s of satisfying sparks & flames, possibly an explosion, very loud.

And I was supposed to log out 7 minutes ago.

    Good Night Grog & Lonewolf.

small bone to pick with Grog vis-a-vis Bachman Turner Overweight. although they are far from my favourite band (Canadian or otherwise) they have released some good tunes. i particularly like “Blue Collar” and “Looking Out for Number One” to name two. i agree with you about Celine (but then i don’t like any of those overwrought singers who mistake volume for emotion. Mariah, Whitney, i’m sure there are others i just don’t want to think of right now) and would like to add Loverboy to the list of those we Canadians can hope to forget about. the list you provided includes a lot of my favourites and i’d like to add Rush and Jeff Healey (RIP) to it. i have always liked Amanda Marshall’s voice and Sass Jordan as well. what about Gowan? or Kim Mitchell?

yyyguy, I didn’t mind early Loverboy, particularly Working For the Weekend and Turn Me Loose. Jeff Healey was ok and I’ve got a few Rush Albums, Trooper, Triumph and I’m sure a few others I’m forgetting about at this late hour. I was not too crazy about Gowan though.

I forgot about Alanah Myles, in as much as she may have screwed herself with the media, I did love her music.

never liked Mike Reno’s voice. Trooper is another band i liked, as well as Tiumph. Alannah Myles had a great set of pipes and a very solid first couple of albums. i heard somewhere that she’s singing jazz these days as is Lee Aaron. Then there was all of the metal bands, and Goddo (very under rated) and some of the Q107 homegrown winners like Pursuit of Happiness or Honeymoon Suite. but this is going on too long. LOL
