(wading through knee level chocolate water) Where is the drain for the pool? Geesh! At least when I knocked over all the coffee it broke up the grease.

Ummm………… This is just a tad messy.

(Gets out the big broom and pushes everything but the furniture into the pool. Goes out back and digs up the small box of Nuclear Fireworks stashed there from the 4th of July. Lights some and drops them in the pool.)

Purple is pretty, maybe nobody will notice lack of food or wonder why the purple fire?

I have been inspired to look at the weather forecast it is not supposed to get above 45° in the next 10 days and we have a chance of slush for Sunday and Monday.

I think I like it better when I don’t know I am supposed to be cold. And who is sending me their slush?

I’m mad at EVERYONE, including you. I missed virtual breakfast this morning. Then I missed the second virtual breakfast. Then I get home and the refrigerator is full of fattening stuff.OK, there is some celery but did you ever eat celery without sour cream, peanut butter, cottage cheese or many more additions that make me fat just thinking about them. I wonder if I could move the fridge in here with a hand truck? Wonder if anyone would notice?

Ummm…. Sir Lew, ever since I started breaking my celery into little pieces backwards so I could get the stringy part out, yes I eat it plain. Besides, Frankr had virtual breakfast. Obviously, magic happened and it is all better.

Take a deep breath. Have a glass of water and a glass of juice and swear for ten minutes. Then, if you are still cranky go to the store. Buy a really cute gingerbread house and stomp it to little pieces.

Sojo, There may be Eagle Scouts and Boy Scouts in my family, but I am not one of them. (grumble….propane?…..water?….. lots of candles and kerosine…. batteries?…grumble… books….tranquilizers….should make ice..grumble)

Our weather isn’t bad at present, but cold rain and “”something else” may be is a possibility Monday-Thursday next week. Yuk! We will be in Kansas City Monday and Tuesday watching the CBE classic with Duke, K state, Gonzaga and Marquette….**can’t wait, weather or no weather!!

Hello Lewreader - I have tried celery without all those things that make it good. Not being able to add them usually I no longer buy celery.

Hello Rmom - I kind of averaged out the temps as there were a couple in the low 60°s and one in the upper 30°s. None were in the 70°s unless it’s been changed since I looked (same site). I hope it’s better like it will be for you!

I eat my celery with salt only. If I couldn’t I wouldn’t buy it either. But it’s the only vegie I put salt on…..except corn on the cob which I don’t eat that much.

Sojo - It looks like they revised Monday’s forecast to 69F. Tuesday, 62F. Then a cold front must be coming through, because Wednesday’s high is forecasted at 42F. Burrr!

Hi, Hope&Joy! Usually Doc gets the storm front first, then those of us in KS, then you. Of course, that depends on the origin, if it is from a hurricane in the Gulf, then it is in a different order. Luv - I forgot to thank you for the virtual Lemon Meringue pie. I don’t think anyone else in my family likes it, so it is a rare treat for me.

Rmom Whoa, you are right and I am so glad! I just checked the internet weather and we look great for the first of the week.. …Last night it was gloom and doom by our weather people who love to scare us. I should have known! We now are in the 60’s with sun or partly cloudy!

I like raw celery plain if it is sweet. Sometimes it is bitter though. The batch I bought this week was very pleasant and fresh.

Your welcome, it is one of my favorite pies! I do luv black berry or boysenberry cobbler too. Though to be honest I don’t eat most of the pie crust. But it doesn’t seem the same without it.

No bitter celery! No bitter onions! I like them, unless they are bitter. I will put tons of raw onions on something, but I won’t just eat one or make an onion sandwich.

I like English(mild hot house)cucumber sandwiches with a little dill sprinkled on them…have never tried an onion sandwich, hmmmm maybe Bermuda or red onions? I saute onions and mushrooms together and think it is yummy as a quick side or to go with steak.

I make my berry cobblers without a bottom crust with just small spoonsful of flour mixture dobbed on berries.

People use a bottome crust? Why? That is just weird! I like fruit pies and cobblers for breakfast. (sigh) But it doesn’t happen very often.

I hear you…cobblers for breakfast or even pumpkin pie… and yes, I think a bottom crust on a cobbler is too gooey or gooy, mainly NOT GOOD!

I am off to eat a carrot and a piece of celery. Back later.

Rmom, except for them having trouble attempting to get the blood from an artery, that wasn’t too bad.(that’s saying a lot, because I totally dislike needles!) The pulmonary breathing test was an exhausting bear. On the last one I told him it better be good enough, because I was done for the day!

Tomorrow we have a high of 46 with no precipitation in the forecast. Sunday and Monday in the 60s with a slight chance of showers on Monday. Then we drop temps with the highs being in the upper 30s by Friday!

My hubby’s always seem to roll or something when they need to draw blood from him. However, I do need to be laying down or I’ll faint.

Rmom, my veins are easy to extract from. They needed the blood from the arteries because they needed to see the oxygen content in my blood. They get a better reading from blood drawn from the arteries.

I’ve been into the VA Clinics before when I hung out with my Grandpa.

No, I didn’t. Besides, I’d been hearing hints from others about what was coming, and thought I really should know.

Oh Lonewolf I know the arterial blood is not fun for the person having it drawn. I had an arterial line inserted before I had my aortic heart valve replaced (it was discovered that I was born with a defective valve when I was 40ish) The good news was my coronary arteries were clean and clear but I remember all the “punching, digging and searching.” I figure it was “payback” time for all the IV’s I started…although I was told I was good at doing it….still it is not fun.

Mine just dais I wasn’t signed ion and once I signed in it was fine. I agree with the “strange” idea! LOL

I am tired of being congested. Does someone else want to take over for a while? It just laughs at the decongestant. So that is why sugar-free ……

I’ve also found the last few times that hitting “Post Comment” doesn’t always take.

If you really want to open sinuses badly, I’ve always found hot sauce does the trick…I like Egg rolls with hot mustard myself.

(And, yes, it is a pretty bad way to open sinuses.)

♠Lonewolf♠ I hope I fair better than you on Tuesday with the needles. They to are starting to have problems drawing blood from me. The thing is, there are those who are much better at it than others.

Hi, Grog. The Lab techs are excellent at it. It’s the ones in other areas that don’t draw blood much, but for “special” procedures. When I get blood drawn by the Lab, I am in and out in no time and they are usually getting 3 tubes or more from me.

It doesn’t help that needles and I do NOT get along! lol
