My poor throat. (sadly shakes head) I do not know how HopeandJoy, James, Bmonk and the others do it. I sang Silent Night a few times last night and it feels like someone took a scrub brush to my throat.

Doc, would it be real not nice of me to not wake Gma when I bring in her food less than ten minutes after she asks for it in the morning when she is asking for it before 8am? Really, if you are willing to wake someone up at 5:30am and ask them to make your breakfast, is it not polite to at least stay up long enough to eat it? (especially if you can get it yourself)
Eggs and toast, I wake her up because I know she wants me to. I am tempted not to wake her or maybe I could put it in the oven on warm until she wakes up again in two or three hours? (giggling)
UmmmâŠâŠ. Bmonk, I might alter or lose my voice permanently if I tried to sing Silent Night daily. I do a special rendition that is guaranteed to make teens behave in public if I stop.

This late morning most I know are gone. Big Sister for your grandma she is hungry she will eat.
I guess my system is different I donât eat at bed time I am fat enough just adds more. I eat healthy to for breakfast.
I have a cousin, hubby is deceased, when she was young did exactly colored her hair gray to look older. She is related by marriage only. Me I donât want that look I already have front part of hair gray, for past 15 years kept my hair short.
Tomorrow I purchase text book for English has entry code has to be entered for computer. First day is 13th no mail for 17th though there will be class. Durn that means tests will be during week and I prefer doing tests on weekends.
I heard on news yesterday outside of politics with new represtiveâs for each state, say glasses make people smarter. I disagree with this, learning makes people smarter. Gray just make people look older that is why I feel old.
Good Morning Sister Kab <3,
I had noticed that my white hairs seemed to be up in the double digits, but we lose hair every day. I think I lost several of the white ones. (sigh) I may never look wise.
I never thought about singing when our two were little like that one was just as ornery as the other. Son though like to play with toyâs.
When they got older I let them find me and I would sit and read, they would.
I have glasses! I donât know that they make you smarter. But I think it is true that if you wear glasses and you donât have them on your hearing and thinking abilities are lower. Strange, but true.
Little Sister my hearing isnât anybetter. I too am thin on upper right side. Strange left side of my hair is very thin left side has a little body. Do you have bificals in your lense?
I think I started wearing bificals almost age 30. I am as you know over 50 mark.
If I seem slow responding lap top is being slow stalls and this machine is new I donât get it.
Years ago living in a different town my hubbyâs mother 88 at the time was in carehome she was fairly crippled, this happened on tax day, We received a phone at 5am I canât remember if I sneezed or coughed anyway my left ear closed on me and so did my throat muscles. I lost a month of sleep that week of her service, I think she had a stroke, I was in bad shape, hospital couldnât understand why no one was there. I need to see doctor and couldnât.
After I did sent to specialist, years later my left ear inside constantly has air sounds and occasional ringing.
How are you this fairly cold morning? Do you think we will get much snow Monday?
My hair is brown except up front. Upper part of my glasses is for distant driving, bifocals for reading.
Sadly technology in medicine didnât have me when I was my sonâs age little to eye patch. My son who is 28 hasnât worn glasses since leaving HS. Poor guy I know kids ridiculed him but he has glasses free. Our daughter has different type of vision and instisted on contacts though she has glasses. There dad only needs glasses for reading. Oh he went to heart specialist a month ago and they put him either meds for blood pressure water.
Gentlemen that is some do look distinguish. Others not so I guess depends on how they grom themselves. Me I am always try to make myself look presentable.
Since I work pt I dress down after I eat were work closets. On weekends I donât care how I look.
Okay all I need to leave time for lunch, change the after 12 close to 12:30 leave. Yesterday was interesting and have stuff to work with.
I didnât know if anyone would be on-line I almost didnât get on and some may have wished I hadnât since I say too much. Times awasting bye.
When the gray started to appear at my temples I was told I looked âdistinguishedâ
Now the sides are snow white and the top is medium brown with heavy frost
Does that make you now âextinguishedâ? (or getting there?)
Reminds me of the locals who survived the Great Blizzard of 1996.
He wondered what the weather was doing one Christmas Eve, whether they could get to the services, so he looked out of the kitchen window, andâOh no! The blizzard was so bad the entire window was covered in blown snow! He called out to her, âMama, we arenât going anywhere tonight. I canât even see out the window!â
She calmly called back, âIt looks fine here, dear. I just flocked those kitchen windows today.â
Hello to everyone Regarding singing: Ooops Not good to strain but I sing everyday to Bibs our cat or to what I am cooking or my husband or about how I feelâŠsometimes made up opera that makes me laughâŠjust short bursts of melody but Not when my throat is sore then I am quiet and gargle 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water.
My copper locks had streaks of silver in them when I was thirtyâŠvery stylish frost job for freeâŠ.Pretty much white with dark trimmings at 45âŠI colored for a few years then quit and look at my white top and sides and upper back part of my hair and am happy while my friends have color jobsâŠNo blue for me eitherâŠ.YUCKY POOHâŠNo perms either as I have natural body-like curl/flips/waves.
Montana Lady - My hair is turning now but my beard started to turn a long time ago and is now mostly white. One woman I know has asked me to color or shave my beard as I would look younger. Beards and the rest of your hair are usually different in color and I donât want to have to shave everyday.
Hi Sojo, Lonewolf, free-spirit Doc Toon,Grog, Montana Lady, and peekers
The saying about âoldnessâ is not original with meâŠnot sure if I read it on my daily quotes or Graffiti. It does seem to have a lot of truth, doesnât it Sojo It is a good reminder, too.
Sorry TRIBE, I would have posted back this afternoon but we all know what DTWFNC can do to the stability of the hands after long absence. Curse you **DOC TOON, hooked again in one day.
bmonk - I finished the lecture series I was watching on The Cathedral. Learned a lot about them and can now see the influence of there design on churches I have seen here in Kansas, from cities to some of the small towns founded by settlers from other countries.
@Sojo, I donât know if Iâve even heard of your seriesâbut I have read, for example, Cathedral: The Story of Its Construction by David Macaulay. Itâs very interesting stuff.
Who did the lecture series? How did you come by it?
bmonk - Here is the web site. They are expensive (probably to make them seem worth more than they are). Each course goes on sale at least once a year at 70% off or more. They are The Great Courses by The Teaching Company. I was able to get several course for $35 or less each. This course was 24 lectures each 30 min. so was 12 hours long. Most courses are good, have only ran across a few that should of been better. They have a full return with no questions asked and no length of time.
Well shucks! I donât know if anyone here actually looks old. For all I know everyone here could live in the same nursing home and be making up stories about their lives for giggles.
You 40âs and 50âs people are not old period I used to laugh when âoldiesâ used to say I was a âbabyâ at 40. Now I am close to 70 (YES I AM) and I understand althoâ I am still pretty much a kid.
Ooops! I am what I am but making up a story might be funâŠhummmm. I will keep you posted. Have fun peoples.
We have been invited out to dinner so must fly. Lonewolf while youâre relaxing, keep track of Duke for me please, until I get back to see the recording.
Hello all Iâve been reading your stories quiet funny. I wonder if Oooops misses â„Little Sisterâ„ those two together are a riot.
I canât say that for myself. I had a major project and got it done came up with a better system.
Now I will relax or yet I need to exercise this evening.
Hello Big Sister have a great day today. You all had some fun your the life of the party here and Iâm sure you miss â„â„Little Sisterâ„â„. Have you heard from her?
I am watching a show on abc. In a while I will need to exercise and catch up on tape before that I will read a great book. Nice visiting with you all have a great evening.

I heard a few years ago that âoldâ is at least fifteen years more than your current age.
Even when I was a teen, I didnât care about being normal. Now I am hardly normalâin my lifestyle, in my personality or interests. It may look rather sedate and mundane, but inside it seems quite different.
Hi, peoples!
Just popping in. Busy day in town, two hours of which was spent in the dentistâs chair. Now Iâm trying to finish reading books I checked out for my trip before I need to return them.
BTW, I think it sounds more distinguished to say I have silver hairs, instead of grey ones. Theyâre shiney, so why not?
âIt is easier to get older than it is to get wiser.â

My copper locks had streaks of silver in them when I was thirtyâŠvery stylish frost job for freeâŠ.Pretty much white with dark trimmings at 45âŠI colored for a few years then quit and look at my white top and sides and upper back part of my hair and am happy while my friends have color jobsâŠNo blue for me eitherâŠ.YUCKY POOHâŠNo perms either as I have natural body-like curl/flips/waves.

It is not about how old you are, but how you are old

Hi, again, Lewreader & Sojo!
George Arnold about 14 years ago
bmonk - I finished the lecture series I was watching on The Cathedral. Learned a lot about them and can now see the influence of there design on churches I have seen here in Kansas, from cities to some of the small towns founded by settlers from other countries.
COWBOY7 about 14 years ago
Good afternoon Tribe!
Home from work and done for the day. No pool. Aches and pains are getting better each day. Time to relax.
George Arnold about 14 years ago
Good to see you able to relax now â Lonewolfâ !
COWBOY7 about 14 years ago
Hi, Sojo & Bmonk
Iâm going to enjoy it for sure, Sojo.
bmonk about 14 years ago
@Sojo, I donât know if Iâve even heard of your seriesâbut I have read, for example, Cathedral: The Story of Its Construction by David Macaulay. Itâs very interesting stuff.
Who did the lecture series? How did you come by it?
bmonk about 14 years ago
@DocTâit might mean youâre still half asleep. (Is it the right half or the left half?)
bmonk about 14 years ago
Or maybe youâre just out of your right mind?

Reading over past comments, it is a little hard sometimes to keep track of who is talking to me. HmmmâŠâŠ. maybe I should choose one name again?
George Arnold about 14 years ago
bmonk - Here is the web site.

I heard a few years ago that âoldâ is at least fifteen years more than your current age.
Even when I was a teen, I didnât care about being normal. Now I am hardly normalâin my lifestyle, in my personality or interests. It may look rather sedate and mundane, but inside it seems quite different.
bmonk about 14 years ago
@Sojo, thanks for the info! Looks interesting.
bmonk about 14 years ago
@Sojo, LOL!
Normal is really unusual, so we are all normally abnormalâŠ

Smiley Rmom about 14 years ago
Hi, peoples! Just popping in. Busy day in town, two hours of which was spent in the dentistâs chair. Now Iâm trying to finish reading books I checked out for my trip before I need to return them. BTW, I think it sounds more distinguished to say I have silver hairs, instead of grey ones. Theyâre shiney, so why not? âIt is easier to get older than it is to get wiser.â
George Arnold about 14 years ago
Hello Rmom - Another wise saying!
