HopeandJoy…..thanks for the link! That was really good! Oh, that it would be true! It was -18 this a.m., and it’s all the way up to -0 right now.

We’re having some friends in for dinner tonight, and I’m taking a little breather from cooking. I’ve got the BBQ meatballs in the slow cooker, and the veggie dip made for the veggie tray, and then I’m all ready to make the noodles for the lasagna…..and then assemble it so it can rest (me too).

I cheated, I bought the Lemon Meringue Pie……forgot to order it from Ooooooop’s menu, so Marie Calendar did it for me.

I love Lemon Meringue Pie too….I grew up knowing that most Sunday’s we would have one of Mom’s Lemon M. pies. (Marie Calendar does a good job too….in fact, I may hurry out and get one for us!!!! Thanks for the idea.)

Besides, where it gets colder, people are more prepared–warmer coats and gloves, etc., houses better heated and insulated, headbolt heaters (and winterization checkups) on the cars… .

Ummm…..no, not really. Being without curtains would be better in the spring or fall. (innocent whistling) Oh! I am not a winter person!

If you go by faith, I guess I’m a Spring.

How do you go by “Color Me Beautiful” or faith?

“color me beautiful” is a system for finding which clothes match your complexion–they grade by the four seasons.

“by faith” would be as an Easter people, believing in the resurrection–new life = Spring.

Remember, cold is only a lower degree of hot.

And people value being “cool”, don’t they?

I don’t know my two holidays are supposed to be Halloween and Christmas.

Sojo and bmonk are so clever today Hi Ooops you are clever too…on the “Colors me beautiful for women” I am a winter too with dark reds, greens, blues, purples,black etc. but yellow and orange are not good.

Winter,to me, is a time to reflect and have the expectancy of Spring. I love it when the “dead” trees prove they are only sleeping. I LOVE HALLOWEEN AND CHRISTMAS….AND THANKSGIVING!!!

As usual, I will pass on the pizza. Tonight was chili night.

Going back to my childhood, Friday nights were always hamburger nights. I suppose, in a small way, I am returning to those roots.

I try not to be seen with the hood and scythe too often. Those cops are pesky. They keep asking all these questions and implying I might want to go talk to some other very nice people. I have had people accuse me of being dead when I was wearing white before.
