Good Morning, Lewreader. I wake up at least once a night most of the time. This morning I woke up a little after 3AM. I posted breakfast around 4AM. Iâm just surprised no one posted before me.
I have been purchasing second hand B.C. books that I donât already have spanning the early 60âs to the late 80âs.
My plan is to read the collection heading back into time - presumably worst to the best of Hart. I just started reading the first one this morning. Hartâs worst is 10 better than Mastroianniâs best.
No, I didnât even get to the âputer yesterday. I checked the comments from my phone, but did not have the time to comment. With James headed to Toronto, Canada it has been hectic the last two days making the final arrangements and all.
And to correct a statement I made the other day, James went with his church group on this trip to Canada, not his HS.
In anticipation of a lost NFL season, I have been collecting various collections of the NFL Greatest Game series. I still have more to pick up. Iâm watching my second game this morning. It was great seeing The Snake again. Now Iâm watching Brian Sipe & The Cardiac Kids. Great stuff!
pseudo, the first game was Superbowl Xl in 1977: Oakland vs Minnesota. Oaklandâs QB was Kenny The Snake Stabler. It was strange hearing Kirk Goudyâs voice again after all these years.
Currently Iâm watching GB vs Cleveland played in Oct. â80.
I know exactly as to what he is referring, but Iâm not sure that I can name them right off the top of my head. Iâm better on stats than on the nicknames and such.
pseudo, itâs great watching these tapes of players playing their hearts out for a fraction of what todayâs players make and without the lip of the likes of T.O.
â Lonewolfâ , todayâs society encourages it. I, obviously, do not.
pseudo, The Cardiac Kids was the nick-name of the Browns during the Brian Sipe era. He had a knack for coming from behind in the last minute to win the game. The Browns were pretty good back then, but never quite good enough to get to the Superbowl.
T.O. is Terrell Owens. Since his days in San Fran, he has not lasted any more than 2 years with any team he has been with. Last I heard, he was in Cincinnati.
I think he could have been a great player if heâd shut his mouth and play football. A team player heâs never been.
My comment certainly doesnât just apply to Owens for sure. When he was with Dallas, I was sick of hearing or reading his whining every day in the sports news.
College basketball is so much emotion and energy. Sojo both of our teams lost when they werenât suppose to but it happensâŠshots donât fall
I know if Missouri Has a brain, they should at least try to interview the VCU Coach and see if he is interested in a Big 12 school. He is an innovative coach.
Hi, friends!
I figured Kansas wouldnât win the championship, just wasnât sure how soon theyâd lose it. Someone in the WH doesnât have a good track record at picking a winning team.
bmonk - I didnât even know they were playing. The only thing on our TV today was âBatman Beginsâ. Our family doesnât follow sports, however, here in KS, it is impossible to not hear about March Madness.
@pseudo, Iâve heard that in China, the restaurants are often like thatâlousy service, no decor, just a hole-in-the-wallâon the theory that people come for the food, and anything that takes away from good food detracts from the real reason for being there.

My dad claimed once he got the waiters attention. They were in a New York restaurant for dinner, and the waiter came and took drink orders. After nearly an hour, they didnât even have menus, or a chance to get a second round. No waiter. No way to find out how much to pay and go to a place that wanted to serve actual food sometime that evening. So they threw two or three twenties on the table and headed out the door.
The waiter was there in ten seconds flat, complaining they had not left enough. He didnât get any more, and lost the tip for the party of four.

Good Morning, Doctor Toon.
Iâd rather do yard work than shovel snow. Iâd rather do yard work than cower indoors on a cold winter day.
I certainly donât get cabin fever down here.

What a lazy morning this is. Not very hungry, so, Grog, Iâll have a slice of your New York Cheesecake.

Went for my walk in the afternoon, and the roads were all dry by the time I got out, and only patches of snow left.
