Woke up to snow again……three days in a row. But it melts by the end of the day. Must be spring!

Went for my walk in the afternoon, and the roads were all dry by the time I got out, and only patches of snow left.

I have been purchasing second hand B.C. books that I don’t already have spanning the early 60’s to the late 80’s.

My plan is to read the collection heading back into time - presumably worst to the best of Hart. I just started reading the first one this morning. Hart’s worst is 10 better than Mastroianni’s best.

No, I didn’t even get to the ‘puter yesterday. I checked the comments from my phone, but did not have the time to comment. With James headed to Toronto, Canada it has been hectic the last two days making the final arrangements and all.

And to correct a statement I made the other day, James went with his church group on this trip to Canada, not his HS.

In anticipation of a lost NFL season, I have been collecting various collections of the NFL Greatest Game series. I still have more to pick up. I’m watching my second game this morning. It was great seeing The Snake again. Now I’m watching Brian Sipe & The Cardiac Kids. Great stuff!

Seem to be getting worse again.

Just nicknames given to games and teams of certain eras.

pseudo, the first game was Superbowl Xl in 1977: Oakland vs Minnesota. Oakland’s QB was Kenny The Snake Stabler. It was strange hearing Kirk Goudy’s voice again after all these years.

Currently I’m watching GB vs Cleveland played in Oct. ‘80.

I know exactly as to what he is referring, but I’m not sure that I can name them right off the top of my head. I’m better on stats than on the nicknames and such.

pseudo, it’s great watching these tapes of players playing their hearts out for a fraction of what today’s players make and without the lip of the likes of T.O.

Unfortunately, today’s society has allowed that type of garbage in today’s athletes.

pseudo, The Cardiac Kids was the nick-name of the Browns during the Brian Sipe era. He had a knack for coming from behind in the last minute to win the game. The Browns were pretty good back then, but never quite good enough to get to the Superbowl.

T.O. is Terrell Owens. Since his days in San Fran, he has not lasted any more than 2 years with any team he has been with. Last I heard, he was in Cincinnati.

I think he could have been a great player if he’d shut his mouth and play football. A team player he’s never been.

Update - several cars crash in the first turn of the first lap of the first Indy type race this year.

The Arizona Cardinals were also nicknamed the “Cardiac Kids with Warner as their QB.

Randy Moss has also always had a big mouth, but has also been a great player.

Last I looked we are getting snow. On the way out. My writing lab is done I passed.:) 80%, 90% and 92% the last is on grammer. 90% on puntuation.

My paragraphs I passed but a lot of corrections. Next is essay and I have been checking Internet for this. Spring break is over.

@pseudo, I’ve heard that in China, the restaurants are often like that–lousy service, no decor, just a hole-in-the-wall–on the theory that people come for the food, and anything that takes away from good food detracts from the real reason for being there.

I actually am. Although I first used the nickname (without the b) before I was a monk.

My dad claimed once he got the waiters attention. They were in a New York restaurant for dinner, and the waiter came and took drink orders. After nearly an hour, they didn’t even have menus, or a chance to get a second round. No waiter. No way to find out how much to pay and go to a place that wanted to serve actual food sometime that evening. So they threw two or three twenties on the table and headed out the door.

The waiter was there in ten seconds flat, complaining they had not left enough. He didn’t get any more, and lost the tip for the party of four.
