    Good Morning, ♥Little Sister♥ & Montana Lady.

“Diet” is not a word in my vocabulary. Fortunately, it never really had to be. Of course, it probably helps that I don’t eat a lot of cr@p like pizza.

♥Little Sister♥, I think I’ll have a couple eggs over easy, some bacon (for a change) toast and a jalapino kolache for desert. I’ll supply the beer.

    Good Morning, Lewreader.

Bacon is a treat I allow myself every once in a while. And a few beers on the week-end won’t put on pounds for me.

Fast food is something I stay away from. Foods high in cholesterol and sat fats are another no-no. I may eat KFC once every 6 months - if that. I always go for the leanest cuts of meat and don’t fry foods. The only thing that really have the good fats or the Omega fats is fish, and I try to eat that once or twice a week - especially salmon.

All sweets are out. Of course, I never liked chocolate anyway, but I was a sucker for cookies and other sweets as a kid. As my metabolism changed, so did my eating habits fortunately. Therefore I never had to deal with weight problems. I’ve always been a stick.

We had the same problem when I lived in Edmonton. The fire never really threatened the city but the air was thick with smoke for days. You couldn’t open the windows during that time. There wasn’t so much as a shower in that time to help fight the fire.

Doctor Toon I wasn’t ware of that fire by you. Here in KS there have been fire outbreaks. When wind’s are in control farmers do burn fields. Gets rid of dead Debera.

My self I do like chocolate my body doesn’t. My body usually wins. I am far from slender, sadly I have to make by metabolism work as I don’t have too much of a thyroid gland. I stay totally away from fast food and KFC is the worst. Super Salad is far the best for me and yes I’m careful of the dressing. I think my hubby has lost more then me and he doesn’t exercise. Good afternoon Tribe

kab, unfortunately, you are one of those who always has to work hard for every pound you lose. I am rather fortunate: I have the metabolism and a nervous nature to go with it. Walking and pacing are second nature to me.

It still doesn’t mean that I can eat what ever I like, but I can have occasional treats to the tummy, without setting off the cholesterol alarm.

Other than KFC, I really don’t like chicken. I find that fish (particularly salmon) is an excellent substitute and much better for me than chicken.

I love all pork products, but obviously some parts are better than others. Bacon is obviously not good for you, but I will eat it on occasion. I also reserve the drippings to add flavor to my high end dishes.

As Ooops! has stated, I like cheese cake, but I eat it once a year (if at all) during the Christmas Holidays.

When I was living in Montreal many years ago, an awesome place that made and sold gourmet cookies was in the food court below the building where I worked. Every Christmas season, I’d buy a dozen and share them with my coworkers, who were mostly good looking young women who were also conscious of what they ate. I contended, however, that if I was going down, they were going down with me.

Kab: air conditioner? Hmmph! We had heavy, wet snow yesterday. It’s falling off the trees in today’s wind, but it’s only 1ºC out there, and it’s going to be ICY tonight while I walk to an SCA meeting (Society for Creative Anachronism. Go to scademo.com to see what the organization does.)

    Hi Lonewolf

Just relaxing, watching some classic football this afternoon. Dedskins/Packers from a Monday night game back in ‘83. I wish there were more games like that available for sale in the NFL archive. Some great players in the ‘80’s. Great games, too. I wish the old Cowboys/Dedskins games were available from when they truly were a rivalry. Same with Packers/Bears. But only more recent matches are available unfortunately.

I have a set which has 12 of the games(including all post season games) from the Bears superbowl year in 85. I wish there were more sets like that available. I’d love it if I could get something from the Raiders Superbowl years.
