Auto should keep it the most comfortable, but since my bedroom is the 3rd floor, I have to close off the vents there when the heat runs, and open them up for the a/c. I also think it would cost more to run the heat part at night and the a/c in the day.

This will be the 3rd year for him, so at least he knows what to expect. His actual driving is getting better, but still has room for improvement before I’ll be comfortable with him driving in moderately heavy traffic. Pseudo - I do run on the cold side - have my whole life. The new thyroid med should help me stay warmer, just in time for summer - great timing…not. Our house has 2x6 walls, and well insulated. Good windows too, so at least the house isn’t drafty. But with four levels (basement plus 3 above ground) it is difficult to keep all the levels balanced, even with forced air. Having visited my in-laws when they lived in PA & OH, I have a clue of what your weather is like. It doesn’t get near as hot there as it does here, and the temperatures don’t change as quickly. I can survive in hotter weather - try over 100° without a/c, but it doesn’t mean I’m comfortable. Awake, I like to be warm, but when I’m sleeping, I like to be on the cool side. Tomorrow morning will be no different. But if I’m feeling the same tomorrow, and my morning errands go well, I’ll look into it in the afternoon.

This first happened to me when I was about 26. That was the most excruciating pain I’ve had until yesterday. It went away after a few days and I’ve had some very mild flare ups every few years since that were gone inside of a couple days. The worst part is, I never know what I did to set it off. And I certainly didn’t do anything to actually put any strain on my back this past week-end or yesterday, when I apparently aggrevevated it even more. It’s not quite as bad today and I’ve been able to stand up straight at times. Assuming I don’t do anything stupid, maybe it’s slowly working its way back to normal.

If you go to a good chiropractor, he/she will take x-rays of your spine to see if anything is broken or out of alignment. They don’t take them for each visit, just the first one, or if it has been a long time between visits. One time I threw my back out, and my MD just prescribed heat & ibuprofen. I tend to get a sore back easily, but only when standing. When it hurt while sitting too, I knew something was wrong. It took several visits, but the chiro got everything back where it belonged.

Grog - Still, something could be in the wrong place. Just not in the same arrangement as my bones.

Fortunately, I don’t hurt when I sit, Rmom. Just when I get up or make any sudden movements, like when I accidentally bump in or something. Which I managed to do a couple times while cooking dinner.

I’m going to go to bed early tonight to ensure that I get up early for my dentist appointment. I don’t have as much to do in the morning as I did this morning, but I am especially slow moving in the early morning these days - and I want to make sure I get to the dentist on time.

My appointment for service on my car is shortly after it. 9 AM for the dentist followed by 9:45. Not that I expect to be at the dentist any longer than 20 minutes but if I don’t make it there on time I likely won’t make it for my service appointment on time.

I hope so, too, Rmom. I’m going to try sleeping on my firmest of 3 beds tonight. At least I’ll start out there, though I may not finish there.

I’m glad I haven’t got any other occupants here with me right now.

Grog - I hope you don’t have to be like Goldilocks and try all 3 before you find one that’s just right.

Rmom, I know my softest (the master bedroom) just won’t work for me. There’s just too much give.

I’m just going to finish watching The Rockford Files and then I’m gone.

At least the Blackhawks have won one game! Still not very hopeful for a series comeback though.

Aren’t the Hawks now down 3-1 ♠Lonewolf♠? If so, the future’s so bright, they’re already playing taps and the fat broad is waiting in the wings.

At least the Habs are up 2-1, but I’m shocked that they lost at home last night. No, it wasn’t televised locally. I guess I’m glad it wasn’t. I wouldn’t have been a very happy camper.

Well, I think I’ll go to bed and start with the bed that I would normally think is “too hard”, and work my way from there.

    Hello Lonewolf!

Apparently, I am not a very good fan. I haven’t even checked to see if I can watch one of their games.

That sounds nice my feet and my place where I sit down are cold. I could use a nice toasty stove.
