Good Monday Morning Dry ,Grog & Cleo! Has eveyone recovered from the games yesterday?
Glad the Packers won but I was really pulling for the Jets. Lived in NY State for most of my life so if it ain’t the Bills it has to be one of the other “home” teams. Oh well on to the Super Bowl. I will cheer for the Steelers cause they are AFL….
Am not really a Steelers fan, so if the Packers win there will be no tears here. Hope it’s an interesting game. I hate those one siders. Hope the commercials are good this year. Last year they were sort of blah.
sugie and Fellow Baby the Steelers were originally an NFL team, back in the day, before all the new franchises came about. Guess you both knew that though. I like the Ravens in the AFC.
Fellow Baby yes the AFC stole some good old time NFL teams. I still haven’t quite warmed up to the AFC even after all these years! Talk about an old dog, but I’m not old, just set in my ways! LOL!
Yeah, Fellow Baby, some of those NFL teams had a pretty rich history. The Steelers really didn’t start getting some good history until they joined the AFC. I don’t think they ever won a title prior to the merger. Things started to pick up in the Bradshaw days.
Yes those were the Golden Years for Pittsburgh. Franco Harris and Rocky Blier were on the post game presentations. Franco looks the same, a wee bit older and a bit paunchy, and Rocky is gray, you could see under his ball cap. Oh well, that happens doesn’t it?
I remember when the Colts left Baltimore, what an uproar!
Grog if I remember right the Browns did not move to Baltimore. They were moved to Baltimore by ther owner “in the middle of the night” so to say. That’s why the team name was changed and Cleveland got to keep the rights to name their new team Browns.
Quite true, sugie, but the new Browns haven’t even come close to the level of play as the old Browns. I may not like Modell, but he has a good organinzation in place in Baltimore. Cleveland is still searching for something that works. Keep it up and they’ll sink lower than the Lions. A shame really, for a good football town like Cleveland.
I agree with you Grog. The Browns are still trying to find themselves. Maybe I like them because they are so much like the Bills. Maybe someone will move the Bills “in the middle of the night”. It couldn’t hurt. Getting tired of rooting, rooting and then being let down.
Oh well see you all tomorrow.
Gee I missed all the football talk! Shucks!
Goodnght sugie and Fellow Baby!
Yes sugie the Colts move was done in the middle of the night! Pis s e d the fans off BIG TIME!!! I can still remember that one!

sugie, I’ll be going NFC. Don’t like Dallas’ divisional rivals though or the Steelers.. From the AFC I only really like the Raiders & Browns

I was as crazy about that as when the the Browns moved to Baltimore. The Browns haven’t been the same since.

I was at the second to last game of the season for the old Browns. The played and lost to the Steelers 20-17.
