I’m not sure I need a cell phone. Well, at least not most of the time. I still kind of think of them as emergency phones for when I have car trouble or have some unexpected need to be in touch because I’m lost and can’t find an addrerss…..something like that.
**Good morning StelBel, Cleokaya, Lonewolf, Grog, Dry,
Chikuku, Supersurfer Sugie, well…..just everybody who comes by to visit.**
Got my first cell phone when my oldest started college. Well in fact, I still have the same phone. That was 2004. No bells and whistles, still works, so why not?
I used to work as a travel writer and photographer specializing in places off the beaten track. I found myself in two locations, one in Montana and the other on the Oregon coast, both spots were well away from everything with the road deteriorating into boulder strewn trails with the road getting worse and worse. It was these two incidents that led me to buy my first cell phone.
Good Morning Grog, sugie, Dry, StelBel, puppybreath and all other denizens of CD!
Our cell plan limits us to 60 min./month and we rarely go over 30! Like Puppybreath, I guess we only think of them for emergencies. And I have no idea whatsoever how to text (nor do I want to learn).
Good Afternoon, Puppybreath, Lonewolf, Cleokaya, Grog, Sugie, Dry and everyone in CD world!!
Fellow Baby, I saw Dallas @ Min from 75 on DVD this afternoon. The Hail Mary game. I have a wish list of fb DVD’s I’ve put together in the event next season doesn’t happen. The list includes game of the Raiders, Browns, Packers & Saints.
Fellow Baby, college games just won’t do it for me.
The games from NFL films are largely intact for anything recorded in the past 20 years. The game I saw today was missing a Cowboys TD.
Too bad, because I’d love to have Superbowl l on DVD.
At least most of the games I want will be largely intact. The Raiders Superbowl victories against NFC East rivals were in the ‘80’s. The Saints games were from 2 years ago and the Packers DVD is a collection of Favre classic games mostly. Not sure what I’ll get with the Browns DVD, because they haven’t been good since the ‘80’s. I may also get the Cowboys/Redskins rivalry games, but they are games from the Aikman era and those games just didn’t hold a place in my memory as great games. There were a few Danny White games - which are not part of the package.
cleokaya….I have told my children that of all people that I knew of that needed a cell phone and GPS was Lewis and Clark…..now I know you needed one just as bad….hate being lost. What you did would scare most to death. That’s why I let my husband drive!!! hehe,
Fellow Baby, DANNY WHITE????? After Roger and before Brett, he was and is, another of my heroes!!!!
I wish the Ice Bowl was on DVD. I was only about 12 I think, but I remember that one! My dad had to yell at me to “pipe down”! LOL!
TillyMasson…I wasn’t scared, but thought that I was somewhat stupid as I continued to put myself in situations that I could find myself having troubles in. Even though both of those situations were likely iffy as far as cell phone signals are concerned, at least it gives me some comfort at being rescued.

Strange…..I’ve tried several times to get my greeting in the previous post to go into bold face, and it won’t. Will it this time???

I’ve seen people use cell phones like that. Rather then talk face to face they use the phone. Strange huh? :-P
Glorius Sunday Morning * Grog, Dry, Cleo, Lonewolf & all you CDers*.

Having a cell phone sure does come in handy these days. Helps me keep better track of the kids, too!

puppybreath I’ve found that if I use bold in a comment and go back to edit, it disappears. If I edit again, it comes back.
