FYI: There were NINETY SEVEN comments posted yesterday, most of which occurred after I went to bed. This has GOT to stop, people!!!! It’s gonna take me all morning now to catch up! I am so-o-o-o missing this nightly party and I am feeling really left out. And, to top it off, I missed the super moon last night! I reminded everyone else….and I forgot!!!
but now the days grow short. I’m in the autumn of the yearand now I think of my life as vintage wine from fine old kegsfrom the brim to the dregs and it poured sweet and clearit was a very good year
Oh my! I don’t know if I’m up for such a heart wrenching scene! Fergus, mom will get her going shortly, and then your job is going to really get tough!
I’m just checking in because I promised I would and to let you know that, no, I haven’t fallen off of the ladder…..yet. I’m still in the midst of painting the ceilings and boy! did I hurt last night after I finished for the day. My neck and shoulders just felt strained and I ached.
Not used to the back and forth over my head with the roller or paint brush and my muscles were asking me "What are you THINKING! “Hush up” I told them, I have to finish what I started so just get used to it until I’m done.
I’m behind schedule. Picked up the paint yesterday morning and that means a 15 mile one way trip to Ace Hardware. Got home, opened the can, thought “Hmmmm, that looks a little more yellow thatn it should”, but started to apply it. I thought maybe after it dries it wouldn’t look quite so yellowish. Nope, still yellow after it dried. Fortunately it was in my closet so it wasn’t a really big deal but I didn’t want to use it in the rest of the house.
Back to the paint store to tell them they didn’t get the color to match the paint chip sample that I had picked out. That meant I had to clean up, change clothes and try to get myself to look reasonably “put together” as my mom used to say. Had to wait for 30 minutes for the paint mixer person to get back to mix another can (this time they got it right) and I drove home to begin another round.
Back to work! Have a happy stress free Sunday All! StelBel, Dry, Sugie, Citizen GROG, Cleokaya, Lonewolf, x_Tech, JP Steve, Greg Trail, Saucy 1121, noicant, Nighthawks, Shikamoo, chefwonderoo, Jkissmya, mightaswellbe, IMudd, serenaskitty, Lingee Whiz, Peabody-Martini and …..Hey! ALL you guys!
StelBel, as I posted last night I think, and as Lingee Whiz said, nothing special really! I was expecting one like I saw last year, took up the WHOLE SKY when it rose. This was just a bigger full moon, high in the sky. Quite a letdown!
Good afternoon to all you lounging and working CD kids on this fine Sunday. Just got finished unpacking and cleaning up after the little man’s first campout. We went with the boy scouts and had loads of fun. They got to play in the Big River, see Missouri’s largest petroglyphs site and got to be crazy little boys for the weekend. The only down side was It took till about 2 am to finally cool down. I knew we were in trouble when it was 71 Sat. morning at 7am with 93% humidity. We were sweaty messes just packing up the car to go camping. I kept thinking this can’t be the beginning of May. Oh well that’s life in global warming I guess. Off to tend my sunburn now, the Aloe is calling my name..@StelBel The moon really wasn’t as big as I was expecting. It looked slightly larger, but not as super as in the past.
Dry, I commented on your reclining cat last night!Grog I replied to you about the party animal.StelBel I replied to you too many times to count. noicant, thank you for your kind words last night. I replied.
Shika, if I’m lucky I get 7 hours between the waking moments. Very often I will only get 3 hours on week days, so I tend to try to compensate on the weekends.
StelBel always read the Buckets, but not the comments all the time, guess I better go check! GEEZ WOMAN IT IS PAST YOUR BEDTIME! Would look for an appropriate LOL emoticon, but not time, so this will have to do: LOL!
I saw the moon at about 4:30 this morning. It didn’t look that big to me either. I remember some big moons when I was living in Montreal. And some big sunrises when living in Edmonton.
Jkissmya, One of the best weather days I ever had was in Baltimore, we went there on vacation so my oldest could attend Otacon, an Anime convention held at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the largest Anime convention in the US. It was 80 degrees at 10 am, cloudy and overcast, humid, I LOVED THAT WEATHER! It was a fun trip for the family, and like I said, that was my kind of weather! We then went to Camden Yards, and of course everything at the Inner Harbor and Fells Point! Of course that Saturday, the day it was 80 at 10 AM, later in the afternoon, What thunderstorms! Beautiful lightening strikes over the Harbor! Dangerous I know, but beautiful none the less!
Yeah, yeah, that must be it. It had me scratching my head. That was a little too early in the morning for me to remember – unless it was really clever. Then of course there’d be no memory at all.
The Buckets is a comic strip. That’s the full name of it. About a family named……………..the Buckets!! Good one! Anyway, read the first two comments of today. Beviak , then me.
Exactly my point, Shika. I get up a little after 4 in the morning, read a few comics and get ready for work. When I leave, the traffic is almost as bad as 8 AM. But at least it gets me in to work in 35 minutes. If I waited until 6:30-7 it might be closer to 7. But I have a feeling the maniacs are out earlier.
“StelBel always read the Buckets, but not the comments all the time, guess I better go check! GEEZ WOMAN IT IS PAST YOUR BEDTIME! Would look for an appropriate LOL emoticon, but not time, so this will have to do:LOL!”……………………………………………………………………..IS there an appropriate emoticon??? Can’t think of what it would be. What would the search perameters be? lolBut, you’re right! It IS past my bedtime, and as soon as this last game loads up, I’ll be headed to bed (after checking the sky one more time.)
OK, I can’t even find the moon in the sky! What gives? The stars are out, so it’s not like it’s overcast… I give up. I just wasn’t destined to see this, and like everyone else, I’d probably be disappointed anyway.
@ Shika I know! What gives? We’ve got a few clouds, but I can see stars! NO MOON!!! I’m out on Main St in my PJ’s looking up in the sky like a crazy lady and….NO MOON!
as I said, “crazy lady” !!!!! LOL Ernie thinks I’m crazy because I have the mistaken perception that as long as I’m on our property, no one can see me (or should be looking!). How crazy is that?
Do you really have to leave ‘thare’ at 7 AM Shika? Poor you! I’m not sure but I may have a morning meeting scheduled for that time. I better make sure I get in extra early!
And with that, I’d say it’s time for Groggy to tucky-uppy
redid the pickup, and cleared and cleaned the back and side yards. i hurt…i may be doing another “lazy” day again tomarow. the way things are going i may be back in shape before the next three weeks are over.

I was searching for a picture to go with the couch potato cat you posted last night, and I came across something really scary….
…oh, the skeleton isn’t scary. It’s that, apparently, one can still gain weight eating the wrong foods long after death!!!!!
