(from yesterday)“actually, Stel ol’ bel, those pictures of deformed, possibly radioactive fish are far more disturbing than my little old heart transplant picture, but….what do I know?”…………………………………………………………………………………And, I thought they were cute! But, not wanting to disturb your delicate sensibilities does present a challenge for today. Would a clownfish be OK?
(PS:Did you see my “Van Gogh response” to you on Thursday morning? Sounds like a good book title, maybe as a sequel to “The Da Vinci Code”…..“The Van Gogh Response”!)
BTW, I not only played that game, but if I’m not mistaken, I believe I still have the original game up in the attic, along with most of my childhood toys (including an original Barbie worth about 2¢ now, since a squirrel ate away at her face several years ago). (I know, I know, TMI….just say, “yes, I remember that game.” …and be done!)
Sorry I missed you, too, last night! How are you feeling? Hope you’re getting better!!!Yes, Virginia, apparently, there are dogfish. Just Google or Bing it! (No, not wing it…bing it!!!)
Speaking of toys in the attic. I still have my original Matcbox toys. And because I have always been worried about damaging my possessions; they are all in their original boxes. I played with them all of the time, but very carefully.
Hey Stel ya ol’ Bel. Yes! The Van Gogh Reply (starring Meg Ryan) was noted and well received. However it is Edward Hopper who inspires me the most. This painting is hanging in our local art museum and I am ten minutes from standing in front of it. It’s one of my favorites, ’ Hotel Lobby’
another Hopper favorite. Definitely a painting of his times, the 1940’s, but the usher is thoughtful, while the movie is playing. It is almost like the viewer is witness to a small drama
Good morning CD kids. Hey, who replaced June with February when I wasn’t lookin? Another cold gray day here..StelBel I can round up them fishes for ya. Anybody see my TNT?.sugie, I’m just in it for the pictures too. ;-).Noicant looks like you made quite the catch there. Is that how they grow em in the PNW?
I couldn’t get over the line-up to get into that new H&M store at the mall this morning. I’m glad I’m not one one of them. I just got what I needed at Sears and got the H out of there. Unbelievable.
I agree that Hopper’s works often evokes a curiosity as to what is happening in that moment of time that he provides for us to witness — almost like he (and, in turn, we) are secretly spying on the subject. No two interpretations may be the same, since we bring our own feelings and experiences into the mix. I certainly can see how you have been inspired by his work.
(BTW, I’ve looked at ‘coffee with cream’ for quite a while today, trying to decide if you meant it to have a blurred effect or whether it was a result of being too big in the comment section and also trying to decide whether to ask you or not, because I don’t wish to offend you. I went back to your website and didn’t see anything else that is blurred, so I will risk asking you…is it or isn’t it? Or, is it me and do I have to make an appt. for an eye exam??? I do like it a lot, but my eyes continue to want to put it in focus, and they are simply not up to the job!)
One of the people waiting in that long line to get into the store, StelBel. I really do not like crouds, which is why I do my shopping so early in the morning. When it comes to malls, I’m there when the stores open so that I can get in and get out as quickly as possible.
Apperently a store that sells high fashion at a low price, Fellow Baby . It appeared as though today was their opening day, though they had advertised that they were opening on the 31st of May.
Well, since I started today off with a rooster, I’ll end with one, as well. This one is especially for Dry (who shares my affinity for roosters and chickens)…
Shika, the fish was excellent. I don’t often get 2 free lunches in a week – much less in a month. I have to thank a Finance visitor from Dallas for that, but the food both days was excellent.
Shika, I’m not Management so I don’t get a lot of their perks. When I do get those “perks”, it’s often cuisine I won’t touch with a ten foot fork, because it caters to the local work force.
Yes it’s past my bed-time, but when you showed up, I decided to stick it out. I can’t and won’t say the same for tomorrow – the beginning of a new work week that will start as early – if not earlier than Friday.
