Well Good morning Fellow Baby, cleo and sugie! didn’t BOLD. Must have left a space or somthing. Whose bright idea was it to get rid of the edit button?
People are cowering in the comfort of their a/c down here, too, Fellow Baby, and it isn’t really that hot out today. It’s only a muggy 89 degrees with a 30% chance of rain.
It’s 98 here, IN THE SHADE on my back porch! There is a beautiful warm breeze blowing outside, so I go out and enjoy it every now and then. I love the heat and humidty but it really is too warm to do much of anything work wise.
Yes, it is hot enough. Hit the yard at 7:15 this morning and was already in the 80s. Glad I’m done now becuase my backyard thermometer reads 101° (I’m sure it’s not REALLY that hot, but it’s probably 98°+).I’ve already caught about 4 gal of water from the AC drip to water plants tomorrow. Expect to fully fill 3 2 gal containers by morning.
Saucy, GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE! I have been doing the same with my water buckets! In the past 3 days I have caught 3 per day, and used them. Have three more ready to go and next I am going to put a bucket under there. Our problem is, we need to get some re-wiring done. We can only run the upstairs air for so long before the circuit breaker cuts it off. That gets done next week, when the temps drop back to the 80’s.
Saucy if I can recall correctly where you are, you may want to start checking your weather. There is supposedly a “doozie” heading our way, and if you are where I think, it’s coming directly towards you as well. Of course, I may have you mixed up with someone else who is where I am thinking.
It’s presently 95 here, but T-storms are heading in from the east. It doesn’t look like my grass will get a drink though. It appears that the storms will pass through the north side of Houston to the Huntsville region.
i got mom to the farmers market today and bought two fuchsia for the front flower garden. hummingbirds love them.also got some weeding/cleanup done.chicken alfredo and ice cream for dinner and desert.while mom is getting her weekly “L.Welk” fix i am looking at the comics i did not have time to look at this morning.i may be forced to trim.but what to cut…: (
noicant Unless your comment disappeaerd into cyberspace, like some of mine do, it did disappear because I saw it earlier. And I told you ,ignore that one! I know who it is now.
noicant my mom also LOVED LAWRENCE WELK! So he is still on? I take it, PBS? Oh Mom did enjoy those shows! So did Daddy, but not quite as much as Mom! :-D
noicant you may not have been flagged, it takes several people to flag a comment to get the poster’s remark removed. I suspect your comment went into cyperspace, that has happened to me more than once since they made the latest “updates” here at gocomics. I saw your comment as I said, and there was NOTHING wrong or inappropriate about it! So don’t worry about it. I think you are fine here, and it will be okay, my friend! :-)
Gee Fellow Baby I LOVED THE SONG LADY IN RED! Esp. since I had a beautiful red dress I used to wear for special events. Of course, now, being 58, I guess I wouldn’t look so good in it now! “I guess I wouldn’t”? Heck, who am I kidding? Sadly, I KNOW I wouldn’t it! ROFLMAO!

You want hot…try 106 with 9% humidity. We don’t get water from out A/C it evaporates.
