I don;t know about everyone else’s grocery store, but none of mine sell live turkeys.

(BTW: I’m not sure why the image I posted last night was not visible to some, and I don’t know how to fix it, since it still looks like it posted successfully. It was a satellite image of North America at night, with heavily populated areas all lit up. Apologies to those who couldn’t see it.)

There are times when whatever I’m looking for is right in front of my nose. I still don’t see where you indicated that you saw my post (re: birthday wishes and cake sent to you on Sunday) yesterday, (early in the day) but as long as you saw it, that’s the main thing! Sorry if it seemed like I was nagging (which I tend to do at times)! That cake really caught my eye. It was amazing. Wish I could have had the real thing to give to you!Have a good day today!

Can’t say that there are, StelBel, and if there were, I don’t think I’d go there. I prefer my Tur-Duc-Hen frozen, but otherwise ready to cook. If I were to buy a turkey, I’d prefer that all the dirty work was already done, even though I don’t have an Elly May Clampett and a Herman in the family.

StelBel, I’ll never forget that Beverly Hillbillies Turkey Day episode where Elly May teaches Herman (the gift turkey from the Drysdales) to shake hands. In the end Jed couldn’t do the dirty deed, even though Herman was acting more like a politician.

I live in an area where the community strongly backs local merchants including farmers. We have a plethora of farms where we can buy cheese, produce, grass fed beef and organic fowl. Fortunately all have been plucked and skinned. By the way, have you ever noticed the yolks in store bought eggs compared to local, fresh eggs?Good mornimg to all the savvy shoppers at Citizen Dog.

Good morning kids..Mr turkey you best bet is to fly away…..oh right, you’re in a no fly zone..We utilize our local farmers markets and the local meat market for food. I don’t even buy meat from the grocery store anymore..Hope everyone has a great day.

OH FELLOW BABY, SO CAN I! “As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly”!

I just took a couple minutes from work to run to our local Tuesday Farmer’s Market. Bought 3 cantaloupe, a watermielon, cucumbers, tomatoes, hot peppers, (my cukes, peppers and tomatoes aren’t ready yet) and some pretty fresh cut zinnias and sunflowers. I FORGOT SWEET CORN, DAG NAB IT!

Real feel of 100 degrees today!

Dry says quite a bit! The yolks of the eggs are an entirely different color, and to me, they taste so fresh!

well…can i update “mom” tonight?friday we went to the clinic becouse of a large bruise on the back of her leg. her Dr. could not see her so we got a N.P.. the N.P. took mom off of her 81mg aspirin, and cut her antidepressant in half. seems that in some people it can cause bleeding. since then mom has ben off the wall. VERY FAR off the wall.she has alternated between screaming fits, and weeping fits for the last two days. she has struck me on several occasions, and today threw a cup of coffee at me.wowtoday we put her back on her normal dosage on her meds. it might take a couple of days, but i am looking forward to “normal”. her regular confusion will be like a vacation.i found a new behaviour in myself in the last couple of days. at points in her “fits” i have started laughing my @$$ off. the situation is not funny, but i am laughing anyway. its not a hysterical fit on my part. (i don’t think.) its just that all of a sudden everything seems so bizarre it hits me sideways and i break up. that is disturbing to me.i suppose its some kind of mental defence mechanism kicking in, and in hind sight i’m thinking i an ok with that. its just uncomfortable to me when its happening.and mom gets even more upset, so i am trying my best to hide it. when i can.@StelBeltomarow we are going to pay a visit to an “Adult Day Service” and let mom see all the people there. $10.00 hr., buy they may be able to find additional financing to help pay for it. they are open on Mondays and Wednesdays. if i can get mom in on Wednesday for three, four, (i can only hope) five hours, and with the small break i get sunday, i might be able to recharge my batteries. or at least slow down the drain a bit.anyway, that’s where we are now. i’m thinking that in the future i am not going to be able to spend as much time here in the morning as i have ben.a touch and go, so to speak. i am thinking that i will be reading most of my comics in the evening/night when mom goes to bed.we will see.

noicant, prayers heading your way! Don’t know what else to say man! Maybe tmr. when my head is clear and I am not so tired! BUT YOU WILL BE IN MY PRAYERS tonight and tmr. and however long you need them. Keep us posted! For all the little we can do “on hands” you can always come here and “vent”. Hang in there, and maybe get a SECOND opinion from another Doctor, if you can. Preferably a doctor who specailizes in ELDER CARE?
