In this frame grab made from a video done with a dashboard camera, on a highway from Kostanai, Kazakhstan, to Chelyabinsk region, Russia, provided by Nasha Gazeta newspaper, on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 a meteorite contrail is seen. A meteor streaked across the sky of Russia’s Ural Mountains on Friday morning, causing sharp explosions and reportedly injuring around 100 people, including many hurt by broken glass.

StelBel, I’ve seen conflicting news headlines that have said 500 and 1000 injured. It appears as though they haven’t got that number nailed down yet.

As usual, I will have to wait until I get home to see all of the pictures posted.

It was a stellar day in the PNW. Beautiful sunshine and I got our plum tree pruned.

Penny had a good afternoon outside and was accidentally left to her own devices in the home all morning and did herself proud.
