Wouldn’t bother my kitty boy at all. On the other hand I’d have to slip the THUNDERSHIRT on Skippy aka The Drama Queen"
Hope you are healing quickly @Stel Bel. If I were in the area I’d make you my famous Mango Cheesecake with Passion Fruit Glaze on an Oreo Cookie crust. That’ll cure and or heal anything.
I almost forgot how to post a picture!!!! I really thought that this surgery would be “no big deal”! You know, done laparoscopically…in, in the morning…out, in the afternoon. Yikes! It kind of " knocked me for a loop!" (what does that really mean?) Thank goodness for Percoset! (note to at home, alone… : take a ½ tab with food — cuts down on nausea)
Anyway, again to at home, alone… : extractions are extractions! They hurt! But, this too, will pass…. I’m feeling much better and have learned which moves bring the pain and which moves avoid the pain….lol.
Thank you all for your get-well wishes! You all really helped me feel better and better….faster and faster! You are the best bunch of people!
And, a special thanks to SusanSunshine, who indeed travels with her own “feel-good rays of sunshine” for letting you all know what was going on…as I said, I didn’t expect to be “out of commission” and “knocked flat on my a$$”, but knowing how upsetting it can be when someone inexplicably “disappears” (like puppybreath), I’m glad she visited Citizen Dog . (I wish she’d stop by more often!)
We have a movie director and an actor/comedian living on our road and they have put on fireworks duels on July 4th. Our Lab Cleo would make the rounds at parties on the lake. Fireworks didn’t bother her a bit. One year my wife and I were to fly to Arizona on July 5th so I could photograph a friend’s daughter’s wedding. Cleo had not come home from the night before. I searched everywhere without seeing her. We were getting frantic as it approached 10AM. We called our neighbors and finally Cleo came up the driveway. We assume that she found a party and fell asleep in someone’s house. Everyone knew her and people would say “hello Cleo” when I would walk with her. Many of them knew her, but didn’t know me.
I almost fell out of my desk chair when I saw your rendition of the Close To Home toon!!! Ohhhh…..the pain you caused cos I was laughin’ so hard…….OMG!!
Wow! I loved the hospital johnny on the chihuahua! And, the dog with the ice pack….and, the tough little hamster…. and , especially the "thermometer goes …. where??? mutt! Thanks for all of them! They made me laugh (gently…) And, thanks for your good wishes!
I’m sorry that I “disappeared” like that. I felt kind of funny announcing a one-day surgery thing and I really did think it wasn’t going to be a big deal. I know we all hate disappearances, me included, but I fully expected to be here as usual on Wednesday. So….WHAT DO I KNOW?!
Just razzin’ you! I am sure you are a very handsome distinguished gentleman! I don’t have a beard, but I am salt and pepper, and each time I get my hair cut, there seems to be more and more of those gray things laying on the stylists apron she puts over me. Wonder where they come from? Surely not from me!
