Howdy, visiting strangers and friends old and new!

For those who need a link….

This is the comments forum for

the March 17th  2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Which you can find on Sherpa:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Little Spunky, meanwhile, doesn’t know he’s such a fortunate fellow…..

Big Ace has the muscles of his bulldog and boxer parents….

but usually displays the sweet-natured disposition of a cocker spaniel puppy.

When you know you’re big enough to swat a yappy little twerp flat, with one huge, well placed paw,

you don’t need to let a few misplaced barks get your dander up.

Sango just finds the brave little dogs amusing.

Over in Cleveland, that is a great St Patrick’s Day post, AND a puzzle. I will certainly be wearing the green tomorrow, and drinking some Irish Whisky. But I will put off the Corned Beef and cabbage and Irish soda bread till Tuesday, when my daughter will be here. Alexi, if you need recipes, let me know.

Top o’ th’ mornin’ to you!

And a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

    I see nobody’s here….

so I guess you’re all down at the Tiki, enjoying the 17¢ green beer and the $3.17 corned beef and cabbage dinner.

    Here’s your festive side-by-side puzzle….

Hope some of you are still sober enough to do it!

Here’s the solution to today’s Cleo & Co. puzzle.

But don’t even think of looking at the gif until you’ve sobered up.

    ᴘʀᴇsᴇɴᴛs

    IDES OF MARCH +2

    “Saturday Non-Solution Speisialta”

       1.  Top panel: Nighthawks reproduces multiple Cleos using technology first employed in the Send in the Clones segment of The Simpsons episode, ᴛʀᴇᴇʜᴏᴜsᴇ ᴏғ ʜᴏʀʀᴏʀs xɪɪɪ. Bottom panel: Multiple Cleos? What multiple Cleos? (your glasses are dirty – please clean them immediately).

       2.  Top: Solemn religious origin of holiday is represented by 6 bassets wearing green hats? Bottom: In long lost Irish translation of the New Testament, 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse replaced by 6 Bassets of the Sherpalypse.

       3.  Top: Actors in Cleo suits are desperate, down on their luck, has-been performers from Puppy Bowl I working for crumbs offered by cheapskate C&C producers. Bottom: Actors are Irish midgets who were promised Guinness Stout, not Betty Crocker – rioting ensues off panel.

       4.  Top: “Girouard” at bottom left refers to Marvin Girouard, former CEO and Chairman of Pier 1 Imports, referenced here for no reason at all. Bottom: “Girouard” at bottom left refers to our beloved (if sometimes elusive) StelBel, referenced here because she is the “Muse of Sherpa,” yin to Nighthawks’ yang.

       5.  Top: Scene depicted is in South Belchertown, the toughest Irish neighborhood west of Easthampton. Bottom: Scene depicted is in MacArthur Park (Richard Harris, call your office).

6-9.  Highly technical. Only Perkycat, who thinks Maggie = Sexy; Montanalady, who thinks Pauly Newhound is a hunk to howl about; SusanSunshine, who puts the Rose in Santa Rosa; and StelBel, (who, come to think of it, may want nothing to do with Nighthawks’ yang), would understand.

Well, we just got back, and I had to try my luck at the St. Patrick’s day parade puzzle. I don’t know how, but I missed one. Other than that, it was pretty easy and fun as always.

I just heard that the big parade in Manhattan has been around since 1752!! That’s one long parade!

I can’t remember where/when the pics concerning the evolution of the relationship of horse and man were posted. In honor of St. Patrick’s day, here is a precursor of the horse in the horse trailer.
